Boost Silver 3x Short Daily ETP among top performing LSE ETPs

The Boost Silver 3x Short Daily ETP (3SIS) was among the top performing ETPs on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in March 2014, returning 21.6 per cent.

The 3x S&L ETPs were first introduced by Boost ETP to the LSE in December 2012.
S&L ETPs provide up to 3x or -3x the exposure through one simple trade. These levels of exposure allow investors to gain from rising as well as falling markets, thus negating the need for complex documentation or use of derivatives.
Viktor Nossek, head of research at Boost ETP, says: “Following precious metals strong showing during January and most of February as turmoil in EM and disappointing China PMI indicators triggered the risk-off trade, silver along with gold ended March on a weaker footing. Having risen 11 per cent to outperform gold by four per cent in February, silver fell seven per cent in March, underperforming gold by 3.6 per cent.
“The introduction of Boost’s range of 3x short and 3x leverage ETPs in December 2012 was a first in the UK and is proving to be a useful tool for investors to hedge risk or express a view with less capital.”
