Belgian issuers team up with EUSIPA

RELATED TOPICS

The Belgian Structured Investment Products Association (BELSIPA) has joined other European national associations in becoming an Associate Member of the European Structured Investment Products Association (EUSIPA).

Membership became effective on 1 May.

BELSIPA president Alain Flas, says: “BELSIPA was set up by the issuers active in Belgium, one of Europe’s most mature marketplaces, as a platform to establish joint market standards and increase transparency. EUSIPA has for years played this role in the European debate on structured products and was thus a natural choice as partner.”

EUSIPA president Reinhard Bellet, says: “EUSIPA unites sector expertise for structured retail products in Europe. Belgium is an important link, which we have been unable to represent until now. We look forward to working with our colleagues on the numerous regulatory issues, both national and European, on which our sector needs to voice its position.”
