K&L Gates appoints investment management partner in Berlin

RELATED TOPICS

Law firm K&L Gates has appointed Dr Till Fock as a Berlin-based partner in the investment management practice.

Fock joins K&L Gates from King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin, where he served as head of the financial markets team and a member of the German management group.

An experienced lawyer and tax advisor, Fock concentrates his practice on the structuring of investment wealth and comparable asset pools of various classes and their investment. This includes a particular focus on the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Regulations, on which Fock and his associate Martin Berg regularly advise clients regarding complex regulatory and tax issues. The team also counsels on the acquisition of loan and receivables portfolios.

Fock began his career working in the tax department at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2001, he joined SJ Berwin, where he became partner in 2004.

The addition of Fock and Berg not only broadens the German investment management practice around partner Dr Christian Büche, but also benefits the firm’s global investment management practice.

Dr Rüdiger von Hülst, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ German offices, says: “With Till’s arrival, K&L Gates expands our investment management group in Europe, and offers our clients even greater global solutions in this area.”
