Japanese ETF/ETN market remained active in April

The Japanese exchange-traded fund/exchange-traded note market continued to be active in April 2014, with daily average trading value on the Tokyo Stock Exchange reaching about JPY97.4 billion and monthly trading value of about JPY2 trillion.

Among the top-ranking issues by trading value, Listed Index Fund 225 and Daiwa ETF-Nikkei 225 recorded increases in daily average trading value from March.
 
NEXT FUNDS JPX-Nikkei Index 400 Exchange Traded Fund, ranked 19th overall, also saw gains in daily average trading value.
