Bryon Lake to head up PowerShares Europe


Exchange-traded fund provider Invesco PowerShares has appointed Bryon Lake as head of Invesco PowerShares ETFs – EMEA. 

As head of Invesco PowerShares in EMEA, Lake will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the business and providing leadership to all aspects of the ETF business. He also has responsibility for collaborating with Invesco’s global ETF teams.
Lake has held several positions within PowerShares in the US since joining in 2002.  Previously, he headed up global business development which focused on raising awareness of the PowerShares ETF proposition globally, most recently across Asia and Europe. 
Mark Armour, senior managing director and head of EMEA, Invesco, says: “As the demand for alternatively-weighted ETFs continues to grow, Bryon’s appointment marks a commitment to strengthening our resource within EMEA.  His expertise and drive will enable us to deliver Invesco PowerShares’ innovative products to investors in Europe.”
