Mark Barnett, head of UK equities at Invesco Perpetual, has made two senior appointments to the UK equities team.

Robin West joins as UK equities fund manager and Tim Marshall as senior investment analyst.

West will start on 8 July 2014 as a fund manager in the UK small cap team. Prior to this, he was with Aviva Investors where he was a fund manager for UK smaller companies and UK growth. He has held a previous position at Oriel Securities as an analyst in UK smaller companies.

Marshall will have responsibility for investment analysis within the large cap UK equities team, a position he will assume on 4 August 2014. He joins from Redburn, where he was a transport analyst and partner.

Barnett says: "I am delighted that Robin West joins the team as a fund manager and Tim Marshall joins as a senior investment analyst.

“Robin has extensive experience as a small cap fund manager, with an excellent track record. Tim was a highly rated airline analyst during his years at UBS and latterly at Redburn.

“He is well known to the UK team from his career on the sell side. The Invesco Perpetual UK equities team will be further strengthened by the high calibre talent we have recruited.”
