Carey Olsen appoints former senior associates as of counsel in Jersey and Guernsey

Carey Olsen has appointed former senior associates Keith Dixon and Simon Florance as of counsel in the firm’s Jersey and Guernsey offices respectively.

Dixon, a trust and fiduciary specialist, joined Carey Olsen in 2008 as a senior associate having practised Jersey law since 1994. He advises global and institutional trustees, family offices and high net worth private clients on commercial and private trusts, foundations, charitable and not-for-profit organisations, succession, pension and estate planning issues as well as on associated regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Carey Olsen as a senior associate in 2006, Florance was a director with PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal in Sydney after being admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and to the High Court of Australia in 1994. Specialising in commercial litigation and regulatory matters, he advises on a wide range of areas such as complex contractual, property and construction disputes, shareholder and investor actions, cross-border litigation, freezing orders, contentious banking and finance issues as well as anti-money laundering, data protection, directors' duties and renewable energy.
Carey Olsen chairman, John Kelleher, says: "The past 12 months have represented significant growth for Carey Olsen and our people continue to play a pivotal role in the development of our firm, including the seven lawyers involved in this year's promotions.  Developing and rewarding talent is a key component of our firm's strategy and I am pleased to congratulate each individual on their success."
