Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned wealth advisory firm, has appointed Robert J “Bob” Bowman as partner and managing director.
Bowman joins as a member of the senior executive leadership team and operating committee. He will focus on business development efforts nationally.
“Having a professional of Bob’s stature join our leadership team and help us build our firm is an enormous win,” says Greg Franks, Snowden Lane’s managing partner and president. “Bob and I worked together at Merrill for much of our careers, and he is a first-rate professional and individual.”
Bowman joins Snowden Lane after a Merrill Lynch career that spanned more than 31 years. He started at the firm as a financial advisor, prior to moving into management. Subsequently, at various times he was regional director of the mid-Atlantic region (overseeing 1,000 financial advisors and more than USD100 billion in client assets) and national sales manager and he also ran a number of office complexes throughout the mid-Atlantic region. He was chairperson of the directors’ advisory council to management, was on the firm’s product development committee, and had responsibility for coordinating the non-resident client segment for US wealth management.
“Snowden Lane is re-defining client-focused wealth advice and their partnership culture is something I very much want to be part of,” says Bowman. “I look forward to bringing my experience as a financial advisor and business leader to the firm.”
