Euromoney Indices (EI) has been appointed by HSBC Global Asset Management as the calculation agent for its HSBC Worldwide Index, which underlies the HSBC Worldwide Equity UCITS ETF.

The index measures the performance of an investible universe of equities that have been filtered for liquidity using a bespoke method and are weighted by free float market capitalisation.

The HSBC Worldwide Equity UCITS ETF is listed on the London Stock Exchange and domiciled in Dublin. It currently has nearly USD500 million of assets under management.

The index, which has over 2,800 constituents, is available in price, gross return and total net return variants on all major publication venues.

“We are excited to be working with an asset manager of the size and reputation of HSBC Global Asset Management,” says Sui Chung, managing director of Euromoney Indices. “The launch of this index and the ongoing work that EI does on the HSBC Economic Scale Index Series further demonstrates our expertise and capabilities as a provider of sophisticated customised indices to major asset management institutions.”
