CityR launches ‘The 10% Report’ to UK adviser market

US property investment specialist CityR has launched ‘The 10% Report’, which is designed to explain to UK investors and their advisers how CityR can help them achieve returns of around 10 per cent.

The report includes a foreword from Robert Reid of Syndaxi, who has provided consultancy support to CityR.

Ron Szekely, founder of CityR says: “We understand that for most investors, a return of 10 per cent per year is seen as high nowadays, if not largely unheard of, so we felt it was important to produce something which advisers can read and share with their clients.

“We believe this report sets out our unique model so if potential investors should choose to find out, they will do so more from as informed a position as possible.”

CityR, which has 15 years’ experience of investing in the US, identifies and purchases multi-family residential American properties on behalf of investors from around the world. Yields are then returned to investors on a quarterly basis, with CityR looking at a five year time horizon for sale, creating an opportunity for capital value growth.

CityR operates neither as a brokerage or an investment house, instead investing up to 10 per cent of its own equity into each property alongside investors while providing its investment partners a preferred return. Investments start from around GBP30,000.

Reid says: “’The 10% Report’ has been designed to help advisers understand more about CityR’s proposition, and whether or not it is something that they believe their clients should explore in more depth.

“CityR has a long history in US property investment, and I look forward to working with the UK team to help them better understand the market’s demands for their proposition.”
