PIMCO has appointed Joshua Anderson, a managing director and portfolio manager, to lead the firm's European structured product group in London.
As part of this appointment, Anderson, who has been based in PIMCO's Newport Beach office since joining the firm in 2003, will continue to oversee PIMCO's global structured credit investments but is relocating to London. He began his new role on 8 September.
In addition, PIMCO has hired Adam Doran, Shrey Shah, Steffen Kluners, Rudiger Holfeld and Véronique Ménard to join its real estate team as part of the continued expansion of the firm's alternatives investing platform. Kluners and Doran, who are portfolio managers, and Holfeld and Ménard, who are structuring and finance experts, have all started at PIMCO in their new roles. Shah, also a portfolio manager, will join later this month.
"Josh is a PIMCO veteran with deep expertise in global structured credit investments, and his relocation to London will enhance our ability to provide investment opportunities for our clients in what is an exciting time for this space globally, but particularly in Europe," says Daniel Ivascyn, managing director, PIMCO deputy chief investment officer and head of mortgage and real estate portfolio management.
