Amundi has appointed Kenneth Monaghan as head of international high yield bond management for Amundi Smith Breeden, the group’s fixed income management centre in the US.
Monaghan was previously responsible for the high yield fixed income activities at Rogge Global Partners in the US. He brings 30 years of experience in structuring high yield fixed income solutions.
Amundi, which currently manages more than EUR13billion in euro high yield bonds from its Paris office, will now expand its offering with new US and international solutions.
The group’s global fixed income platform manages EUR440 billion in total. The platform covers the full spectrum of fixed income market segments from government bonds to non-listed private debt.
“The strengthening of our high yield international fixed income capability enables us to further extend our investment solutions, in particular, for institutional investors who continue to seek returns in a low interest rate environment around the world,” says Eric Brard, global head of fixed income.
