Alternative investments specialist Circle Squared Alternative Investments has formed a strategic partnership with private equity real estate firm The Hampshire Companies.
The two firms are collaborating on developing specific alternative investment opportunities for portfolios of high net worth investors.
Their suite of real estate strategies will focus on varying objectives, including vehicles that seek to produce current income while also offering long term appreciation.
In the 90 years since Hampshire’s inception, the company has invested in property, corporate, and portfolio transactions valued at USD2.5 billion, including 259 properties in 28 states totalling over 25 million square feet. Hampshire currently has eight discretionary funds with over USD1 billion in equity under management.
“In working closely with Hampshire, we've developed the same shared business principles, and beliefs that illiquid alternatives are true alternative investments,” says Jeff Sica, founder and chief investment officer of Circle Squared. “Our strategic partnership will focus on creating and structuring funds and direct real estate investment opportunities for high net worth investors. This strategy deploys the longstanding experience of a successful real estate investor with our astute understanding of how to apply alternative investing within a portfolio.”
Jon F Hanson, chairman and founder of the Hampshire Companies, says: “Hampshire is excited to be working with Circle Squared because of their dedicated commitment to and interest in alternative investments. This partnership follows perfectly in line with our strategy to provide investors with tailored real estate investments for their portfolio.”
