UK family law practice Hughes Fowler Carruthers (HFC) has appointed Mark Harper, formerly a senior partner within Withers’ family department.

“Whilst I have very much enjoyed my years at Withers, I am very excited by this new position at Hughes Fowler Carruthers, London’s top niche practice. Both firms are ranked first equal in the directories for family law, enjoy a mutual respect and good working relationship, which I am confident will continue,” says Harper.

Harper is a recognised expert on trusts and international divorce. He is currently the European Chapter President of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML). He co-authored International Trust and Divorce Litigation (Second Edition). He is regularly listed as one of the UK’s top 10 family lawyers, recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 directories and in Spear’s Wealth Management’s Family Law Index.
