Fiduciary Trust Company International, an affiliate of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed Jeffrey MacDonald as director of fixed income strategies, effective immediately.
MacDonald had previously been a managing director and senior portfolio manager with responsibility for the development and management of fixed income strategies at Fiduciary Trust.
In his new role, which was previously held by Ronald Sanchez, chief investment officer of Fiduciary Trust, MacDonald is responsible for leading Fiduciary Trust's fixed income effort. In addition to the development of fixed income policy and strategy for the firm, he also oversees Fiduciary Trust's team of dedicated fixed income professionals and manages client portfolios on behalf of individuals, families and institutions.
"Jeff is a highly regarded fixed income professional who has made tremendous contributions since joining our firm in 2013," says Sanchez. "I've been impressed with his strategic thinking and his extensive knowledge in the fixed income space. I'm excited for Jeff as he takes on this new role and enhances our position as a premier provider of fixed income management."
MacDonald brings over 21 years of experience to his new role. Prior to joining Fiduciary Trust in 2013, MacDonald served as a senior portfolio manager and head of traditional strategies at Cutwater Asset Management where he oversaw a team of seven portfolio managers.
