Global X Funds appoints Steven Swain as president

Exchange-traded fund sponsor Global X Management Company has appointed Steven Swain as president with responsibility for overseeing Global X's day-to-day operations.

He will serve on the firm’s executive committee, along with chief executive Bruno del Ama and chairman Jose Gonzalez.
Del Ama says: "Steven's hiring strengthens our leadership team as we continue to grow, expand our product offerings and provide better service to our clients."
Swain joins from private equity firm Aquiline Capital Partners where he served as an executive advisor. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Lyster Watson and Company and Lazard Asset Management.
"Global X is on the forefront of the ETF industry's rapid growth with a reputation for building solutions to help meet its clients' investment needs. I am honoured to join Jose and Bruno during this time of rapid expansion for the firm," Swain says.
