Tradeweb Equity ETF volume up two per cent in Q3

Equity-based exchange-traded funds enjoyed a strong third quarter on Tradeweb, with volume increasing by two percentage points to 67 per cent, as a proportion of the overall traded volume.

“Buys” and “sells” in the asset class almost reached parity at 34 and 33 per cent respectively.
 
Volume in fixed income-based ETFs stayed flat at 29 per cent, while commodity-based ETFs saw a drop of two percentage points to four per cent.
 
Across all asset classes, last quarter’s buying trend endured despite a sharp increase in “sell” requests by six percentage points to 48 per cent.
