Bordier & Cie (UK)’s (formerly Berry Asset Management LC) Platform Managed Portfolio Service is now available to advisers on the Standard Life wrap platform.
The service, which enables financial advisers to access Bordier (UK)’s investment experience via five models (defensive; cautious; balanced; growth; adventurous), offers a cost-effective way for advisers to manage client assets with a minimum investment of GBP1,000.
Carl Lamb, managing director of Norfolk based IFA group Almary Green, first approached Standard Life with a view to including Bordier (UK)’s models on its wrap platform.
“I am delighted that Standard Life has made Bordier (UK)’s five growth strategies available on their wrap platform – this provides a ‘best of both’ situation where our group can access Standard Life’s wrap excellence along with Bordier (UK)’s leading discretionary fund management offering,” says Lamb. “The portfolios give us access to the deep experience of the firm’s investment committee as well as Bordier (UK)’s track record for outstanding risk-adjusted investment performance over the longer term.”
David Tiller, head of adviser platform propositions at Standard Life, says: “Bordier has a strong investment heritage and are a welcome addition to our platform. The new models added to our wrap platform provide advisers with access to a highly rated manager at a competitive price (30bps + VAT). Demand for on platform discretionary portfolios is strong and growing, so we are delighted to extend the range on offer and to be working with Bordier (UK).”
