Source hires Paul Jackson to head new multi-asset research team

Exchange-traded products provider Source has appointed Paul Jackson as managing director and head of its newly created multi-asset research department.

Jackson will be responsible for providing investors with research insights into macro-economic events and analysis of their relevance to the capital markets.

“It is very important for Source to expand its dialogue with investors beyond offering compelling investment products,” says Michael John Lytle, chief development officer. “We work closely with a collection of leading global investment firms and receive a range of valuable insights from them.  However, we believe that we need to generate our own research in order to better engage with our investors through discussions of the investment landscape.

“By creating a separate research team, we can provide investors with commentary that reflects an independent assessment of markets and economies. Paul brings with him almost 30 years’ experience, enriched with first-hand knowledge of investment performance in a wide range of conditions. He has an engaging style of writing and is able to bring even the driest subject matter to life in a way that our investors should find thought-provoking.”

“There were two main incentives for me to join Source,” says Jackson. “First, though it is already well established, Source is a relatively young organisation, with an entrepreneurial culture. Second, it offers me the chance to build a new and creative research function, quite distinct from the traditional model.  Put another way, I now have the opportunity to provide a value-added service to investors, while making a real difference to an innovative, dynamic and growing organisation.”
