Trusts and estates attorney Catherine Grevers Schmidt joins Schulte Roth & Zabel

Schulte Roth & Zabel (SRZ) has appointed Catherine Grevers Schmidt as a partner in the individual client services group.

Resident in the firm's New York office, Grevers Schmidt will focus her practice on estate planning and administration, trusts, charitable foundations and tax advice. She joins the firm from Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, where she served as chair of the trusts and estates group.
 
"Cathy's expertise and knowledge of complex estate planning and extensive experience administering large estates will be a great asset to our practice," says William D Zabel, SRZ founding partner and head of the individual client services group.
 
With broad experience advising high net worth individuals on their personal legal matters, the attorneys in the individual client services group serve a client base that includes entrepreneurs as well as beneficiaries of inherited wealth.
 
"Schulte Roth & Zabel has a long history as a leader in providing the highest level of trusts and estates advice. I am thrilled to join this group for which I have so much respect," says Grevers Schmidt.
