Causeway Capital Management launches Causeway International Small Cap Fund

RELATED TOPICS

Causeway Capital Management has launched the Causeway International Small Cap Fund.

The fund invests primarily in common stocks of companies with small market capitalisations located in developed and emerging markets outside the US.

The fund normally invests at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity securities of small capitalisation companies. The fund primarily uses a quantitative investment approach and intends to normally hold between 120 and 200 stocks.

The fund is managed by Arjun Jayaraman, head of quantitative research for Causeway; MacDuff Kuhnert, director of quantitative research; and Joe Gubler, quantitative portfolio manager.

"There are pricing inefficiencies in many international small cap equity markets, creating investment opportunities on which we seek to capitalise," says Jayaraman. “We believe international small cap stocks offer higher growth compared with their large-cap peers, yet often trade at comparable valuation levels. Using our quantitative investment process with a fundamental research review, we believe we can find investment opportunities for Causeway International Small Cap Fund that offer potential valuation discounts relative to larger capitalisation companies."

Investor Class shares require a USD5,000 minimum initial investment (USD4,000 for IRAs).

Institutional Class shares require a USD1 million minimum initial investment. There are no minimum amounts required for subsequent investments.
