Premier, the corporate benefits and wealth management firm, has hired Barclays Wealth director Paul Freeman and his former team.
Freeman was formerly the south west regional director for Barclays Wealth and joins Premier as head of Premier Wealth Planning, taking over the national IFA operation. Freeman is a Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager.
Joining Freeman at Premier are the authorised wealth managers Andrew Wakely, Mick Smith, Scott Ellis, Gareth Helyer, Kate Nield and Gareth Morris. Kate Ross, Rebekah Pettersson and Lisa Taynton have also moved from Barclays to join the support team.
Premier managing director Paul Couchman says: “To have a team of such calibre join the business is a major coup for Premier. They bring with them significant experience in wealth management and independent advice.
“Working closely with our existing team, they will play a key role in expanding our presence across Bristol, the South West, and Wales. These appointments build on Premier’s success in expanding its IFA coverage on across the country.”
