MPI releases mobile app for advisors and asset management firms

Markov Processes International (MPI), a provider of tools for analysing investment performance and risk, has released MPI Stylus Web as a mobile application for the iPad, Android and Microsoft Surface tablets.

MPI Stylus Web allows users to generate different report types, including single manager, manager comparisons, portfolio-level, single retirement plan, retirement plan comparisons and target date fund analysis.
Recognising the increased usage of mobile devices across the advisor and wholesaler functions and the resultant productivity growth, MPI sought to provide a way for clients to generate and access reports from wherever, whenever.
Oliver Solano, director, product development, MPI says: “With the release of the MPI Stylus Web mobile application our clients will gain an edge in the field. As the competition for assets and accounts grows, and the modern workplace shifts from the office to wherever opportunity lies, we are committed to helping our clients achieve greater success and better investment outcomes.”
For an employee in the field, reports can be generated on the spot or pulled in real time from team members working in the office. The application also helps firms with a commitment to minimising environmental impact, eliminating the need for excessive paper-based prospecting and reporting.
Michael Chidlovsky, executive vice president, product development, MPI, says: “We’ve not only redesigned the experience of MPI Stylus Web for a tablet device, but we’ve enhanced some key functionality so that users can find, create and run reports faster than before. Clients have been very excited about this product and we are proud to roll it out to the broader marketplace.”
There is a slight difference between application access depending on tablet device. The iPad app is available through the Apple App Store, with the ability to save reports directly to the application. The Android and Microsoft versions are accessed via browser.
