Walker Crips expands investment division

Walker Crips, the integrated investment and wealth management group, has strengthened the investment division with the appointment of Ian Amiee as an investment manager.

Amiee joins from JM Finn where he was previously an investment manager. He began his career at Stockbroking firm Simon & Coates and specialises in smaller companies in the medical and technology sectors.
His appointment follows the recent hires of five other advisers from Barclays Wealth and Charles Stanley.
Rodney FitzGerald, chief executive, Walker Crips, says: "The board’s strategy has been revitalising our investment management, wealth management and stockbroking businesses. We have utilised our robust balance sheet to acquire new investment managers who come here in the knowledge that efficient systems and supportive management backed by strong compliance procedures provide the framework for a culture which puts the client first."
