JP Morgan launches R6 share classes of SmartRetirement funds

JP Morgan Asset Management is to offer R6 share classes of the JP Morgan SmartRetirement Mutual Fund series of target date funds, which are designated with a "Silver" Morningstar analyst rating.

Managed by JP Morgan's Investment Management Solutions-Global Multi Asset Group (GMAG), the new share class provides a non-revenue sharing option for retirement plans of all sizes and needs.
"The availability of the R6 share class offers advisers and plan sponsors with a non-revenue share class and fee transparency, with our dynamic risk management approach that seeks more consistent returns and a smoother ride to retirement for participants through the JP Morgan SmartRetirement funds," says Dan Oldroyd, JP Morgan SmartRetirement portfolio manager. "These shares provide greater flexibility in plan design and execution and we are pleased to offer them to our clients."
JP Morgan offers R6 share classes for all vintages in the SmartRetirement Mutual Fund series.
R6 shares are offered at net asset value (NAV), with no front-end sales charges (CDSC) or 12b-1 fees. Clients will be able to purchase R6 shares immediately and can also make a direct exchange from previous share classes.
