Taylor Investment Counselors now NBW Capital

Taylor Investment Counselors has changed its name to NBW Capital following a buyout by the firm’s partners from the founder back in January.

The three partners have been managing the portfolios as a team for nine years.
“We are portfolio managers who have always focused our energy on security selection, managing risk and meeting first hand with as many management teams as possible,” says Ben Niedermeyer, NBW Capital’s chief investment officer.
Niedermeyer notes that a majority of the companies they meet with include CEOs and CFOs of master limited partnerships (MLPs). MLPs have emerged as attractive total return vehicles with a history of outperformance relative to traditional asset classes.
“As market acceptance of this asset class grows for affluent investors and institutions, we anticipate that our firm will benefit from the MLP track record we have built.” he says. “NBW Capital is in a unique position due to our experience with MLPs and because the asset class is often misunderstood by investors.”
The firm has been actively investing in MLPs since 1991.
