Exchange traded fund and exchange trader product (ETF and ETP) provider WisdomTree has appointed Zach Hascoe as Director of Capital Markets for Europe.

Hascoe moves from WisdomTree’s US Capital Markets group with immediate effect, reporting to Co-CEO of WisdomTree Europe Hector McNeil.

Hascoe was a key member of the highly regarded WisdomTree US Capital Markets team and worked in the role for just over four years. When Mr. Hascoe joined the US team the firm’s assets under management were approximately USD5bn and they have grown to circa USD39bn today.

Hascoe will be responsible for further developing the Capital Markets function for WisdomTree Europe and will focus on growing the liquidity and trading efficiency in both WisdomTree Europe’s UCITS ETFs and Boost ETPs.

Hector McNeil, Co-CEO of WisdomTree Europe, says: “We are really excited to welcome Zach to WisdomTree Europe. Zach’s extensive ETF Capital Markets background, combined with his deep knowledge and expertise in WisdomTree’s methodology and investment philosophy, will be a key component to help develop WisdomTree Europe. A comprehensive market making and authorised participant panel are key to the success of any ETF Provider’s distribution model and Zach will have an initial focus of building and developing this network. He will also focus on making the trading experience as efficient as possible for all end client types. Moving Zach from the US to London reinforces WisdomTree’s commitment to the European business.”

WisdomTree Europe launched its first UCITS ETFs on 24 October 2014 on the London Stock Exchange. The first four ETFs are focused on Dividend-Weighted ‘Smart Beta’ indices. Three of these indices have been live since 2006.
