Hargreaves Lansdown appoints new Head of Equity Research as part of expansion of stockbroking service

Hargreaves Lansdown is broadening its share research as part of an expansion of its stockbroking service with the appointment of Stave Clayton as Head of Equity research.

Clayton joins Hargreaves Lansdown from Mirabaud Securities where he was a sell side analyst. Prior to Mirabaud almost all of Clayton’s career was managing money at various fund management companies including Halifax fund managers, Dresdner RCM Global Investors and Liverpool Victoria (LV) Asset Management. He started his career in finance in 1987 after completing a degree in Economics at Cambridge University.
In this new role Clayton will be working to improve our equity research as part of this expansion.
Ian Gorham, CEO, Hargreaves Lansdown, says: “Extending our share research is a natural development of our stockbroking service. We have seen from the popularity of IPOs and share dealing generally that there is a growing appetite for share research. As the largest investment supermarket in the UK and largest retail stockbrokers we aim to provide all our clients with the best information whether shares, funds, passives, ETFs, or investment trusts. Clients value our expertise as well as our service.”
Clayton says: “The opportunity to join the largest retail stockbroker in the UK to help develop and expand their range of services was not one to miss.”
