Growth equity investor Comgest has launched the Comgest Growth Europe ex UK fund, which will be managed by Arnaud Cosserat, Franz Weis and Alistair Wittet, who have over 59 years of combined industry experience.

As with all Comgest funds, Comgest Growth Europe ex-UK will be a concentrated portfolio of high quality companies demonstrating sustainable growth prospects. The fund will be available from 15/12/2014.

The Comgest Growth Europe ex UK Fund is an important addition to the firm’s European strategy fund range, which has developed since the first fund was launched in 1989 to cater for an increasing range of international investors. The Renaissance Europe fund, which is the firm’s largest strategy vehicle, has returned 9.20%* p.a. net of fees since its launch in 1994, outperforming the MSCI Europe index which returned 6.99% p.a.* over the same period. Its volatility stands 23% p.a.* below the MSCI Europe index since inception.

Comgest has managed substantial assets on behalf of institutional UK investors since 1985. Arnaud Cosserat, co-Portfolio Manager, says: “We have launched the Comgest Growth Europe ex UK fund to respond to increasing demand from UK investors. Comgest has been investing in strong franchises in Europe for the last 25 years and our track record is testament to the team’s ability to identify outstanding quality growth companies. Our independence, combined with our disciplined bottom-up approach allows us to really focus on the long term performance drivers. The Europe ex UK fund will be managed by the same team, with the same approach, in order to deliver more of the same to UK investors.”
