Nasdaq appoints Jeff McCarthy as VP, Head of ETP Listings & Services

Nasdaq has hired Jeff McCarthy as Vice President, Head of ETP Listings & Services.

McCarthy joins Nasdaq from Citigroup’s Investor Services & Markets group, where he was responsible for Global ETF & North America Fund Services. Prior to Citigroup, he served as the Global ETF Product Head and Global Sales & Relationship Manager at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

At Nasdaq, McCarthy will be responsible for all aspects of Nasdaq’s US ETF Marketplace, guiding issuers through the development, listing, and trading processes. In addition, he will manage the workflows required to list a new ETP on The Nasdaq Stock Market, including all aspects of product pricing, packaging, sales and marketing efforts.

Brian Hyndman, Senior Vice President, Nasdaq Global Information Services, says: “Over the last several years, Nasdaq has worked diligently to provide a premier full-service ETP offering to our clients. As such, we are the only venue where issuers can create an index, list their product, and have the ability to distribute it all under one roof.

“Working alongside our Index Licensing and US Equity Transactions teams, Jeff will report to me in our Global Information Systems business.

“We are confident that Jeff’s extensive ETF background — coupled with more than 16 years of experience building relationships in the ETP space — will make him a tremendous asset to Nasdaq and our many ETP sponsors and issuers.”
