Poole assumes new CPB role as Head of Strategic Client Segments EMEA

RELATED TOPICS

David Poole, formerly Global Market Manager for Citi Private Bank (CPB) UK, has taken on the newly created role of Head of Strategic Client Segments EMEA.

Poole will assume responsibility for a range of strategic client segments that have been identified as opportune for more targeted development, as well as being pertinent to Citi's target ultra high net worth market. He will focus on developing business plans for each segment through targeted account planning, tailored product development, bespoke marketing materials, specialist events and banker and partner education forums. He will work closely with regional Global Market Managers to ensure a relevant offering is available for these key segments across the EMEA region.

Luigi Pigorini, regional head, Citi Private Bank EMEA, says: CPB has unrivalled capabilities across these segments which exhibit strong growth characteristics and benefit from Citi's unparalleled advisory, execution and product capabilities, as well as our truly integrated private banking platform.  This new position is an exciting and strategically important development for our franchise and will play a vital part in delivering the ambitious growth plans that we have for EMEA going forward.”

Poole joined Citi in 2006 with responsibility for Business Development in CPB UK and was appointed as Global Market Manager for the UK Market Region in 2009.

Following Poole’s appointment, Jeremy Knowland has taken on the role of Global Market Manager for CPB UK. Knowland, a qualified management accountant; affiliate member of CISI and CFA charterholder, joined Citi in 2005. He has been a UK Banker Team Leader since 2011.
