Marathon Asset Management promotes Jamie Raboy to Partner

Marathon Asset Management an alternative investment adviser focused on corporate and global credit, structured credit, emerging markets, leveraged loans and CLO’s, has promoted Jamie Raboy, global head of risk management, to partner.

Raboy will join Marathon’s existing partners: Bruce Richards, Louis Hanover, Andrew Rabinowitz, Richard Ronzetti, Jake Hyde, Stuart Goldberg, Andy Springer and Gabriel Szpigiel, all of whom have a 20 year history of working together.

Raboy has been with Marathon since its inception in March 1998 and has led several business areas before becoming the head of risk management in January 2009. Raboy also serves on Marathon’s Executive Committee.

“Jamie’s contribution by providing quantitative and qualitative risk analysis has been instrumental and a critical part of Marathon’s success,” says Bruce Richards, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Jamie exhibits a dedication to excellence that is second to none, providing transparency and best-in-class risk assessment that benefits Marathon’s portfolio management team and our clients alike.”

Louis Hanover, Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer, says: “Adding Jamie to our well-established group of partners continues to position the firm for long term growth. As we look for attractive risk-adjusted returns across a wide universe of performing, distressed and situational credit, excellence in risk management and reporting remains a deeply rooted component of the firm’s philosophy.”

Raboy says: “I have been fortunate to be at Marathon since its early days and watch Bruce, Lou and all the partners and employees build this great firm. I am honoured and excited to become a partner at Marathon and look forward to continuing to provide our clients with excellent service.”
