Unigestion, an institutional asset manager that focuses on providing its clients with a targeted range of risk-managed investment solutions, has appointed Rudyard Ekindi as Head of Investment Solutions.

Rudyard joined in December 2014 and is based in Geneva, reporting to Alexei Jourovski, Managing Director and Head of Equity. Rudyard will be tasked with ensuring a full understanding of the investment needs of Unigestion’s client base and developing the asset manager’s product solutions in line with and tailored to these specific requirements.

Rudyard brings 20 years of experience in asset management to the role. From 2009 to 2013, Rudyard was Director of Investment Research at NEST (National Employment Savings Trust) where he organised the investment team and designed the pension scheme’s investment strategy. Prior to this, Rudyard was Head of Asset Allocation at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he focused on cross asset solutions for institutional clients, eventually becoming Director of Research within the company’s Quantitative Strategies group.

Alexei Jourovski, Managing Director and Head of Equity, at Unigestion, says: “Rudyard is an excellent addition to our equity team, bringing a wealth of experience and a research-led approach to his work that makes him an ideal fit for us. His first-hand experience having worked client-side for an institutional investor will position Rudyard as a close partner for our clients and enhance his ability to understand their needs. His previous experience leading and designing investment strategies will increase our ability to construct tailor-made solutions to help our clients reach their individual objectives.”

Rudyard Ekindi says: “Unigestion’s unique approach to risk-managed investment, together with its ambitious company culture is a stimulating prospect. I look forward to working within the talented equity team and contributing to deepening Unigestion’s relationships with institutional investors.”
