March Gestión appoints Lorenzo Parages as head of distribution

RELATED TOPICS

March Gestión de Fondos, the asset management arm of one of the largest private banks in Spain, has appointed Lorenzo Parages as its Head of Distribution.

Parages role will cover the promotion of MGF funds in the UK, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg and Latin America.

Since 2012, Parages has been responsible for Allfunds Bank’s investment services operations in Latin America. With more than 10 years industry experience Parages began his career in the Equity Sales Division of Banco Urquijo, a leading Private Bank, before moving to AXA Investments as Financial Advisor.  He then worked in the UK at firms such as BSN Capital Partners, BlueCrest Capital Management and as a sales and business development manager at CMD. Lorenzo has an MBA from the IE Business School.

March Gestión CEO Jose Luis Jimenez believes Parages appointment would help maintain the rapid growth the firm has seen since the onset of the financial crisis. With a fourfold increase in asset under management since 2008 the firm has seen growth both at home and overseas.

“Thanks to strong performance, we see continuing support for our range of global equity and bond products not only in Spain but also in Italy and increasingly in Latin America,” he says. “With Germany being particularly supportive of investment in family business focused funds, we see potential for strong growth there too. In the UK, we are working towards establishing a more permanent base and so Lorenzo´s experience in London will prove particularly helpful.”
