NFP Advisor Services adds Gate City Advisors

NFP Advisor Services, a provider of technology, service and asset management platforms to financial advisors, has added Gate City Advisors to its platform.

Gate City Advisors and its representatives, based in Greensboro, NC, offer financial planning, investment consulting and retirement plan services. The firm’s managing partners, Joseph (Joe) Vartanian and R. Sherwood Greer, have a combined five decades of financial services industry experience and have shaped the firm around the concept of creating successful retirement plans for businesses and individuals.

Vartanian points to NFP Advisor Services’ technology and tools, as well as its commitment to the retirement industry, as critical to his decision to select the firm as a partner.

“NFP Advisor Services’ expansive suite of advisor-focused services, especially in the technology space, will help Gate City Advisors be more efficient and effective in serving our clients. As we look at our long-term vision, we want to expand our retirement plan focus and NFP Advisor Services will support that growth,” he says.

James Poer, President of NFP Advisor Services, says: “We continue to see great opportunity in the retirement plan space, and Gate City’s emphasis on the 401(k) business complements our focus. Further, its work with business owners creates additional opportunity to utilise our succession planning expertise. We are excited to welcome Joe, Sherwood and their team to the NFP family.”

Vartanian adds: “We are excited to join a firm whose offerings allow us to grow our business, refine our focus and provide best-in-class client services for our client base.”
