Colony Group opens second office in Massachusetts

The Colony Group has opened a new office in Norwell, Massachusetts to support its growing client base and advisor talent in New England.

This expansion sees the promotion of Stephen Stelljes, a long-term veteran of the company, as The Colony Group's President of Client Services.

"We remain committed to delivering a best-in-class experience with leading edge capabilities both to clients and their financial counselling teams. Steve has demonstrated a unique ability to combine his expertise as a financial counsellor together with a natural ability to lead others, and I am confident that he will inspire the team to execute on our broad vision," says Michael Nathanson, Chairman & CEO of The Colony Group.

Stelljes, an attorney who holds the designation of CFP Professional, has been with The Colony Group for 17 years, providing comprehensive wealth management services to high-net-worth clients.  As President of Client Services, he will oversee The Colony Group's wealth management and investment teams.  Prior to joining The Colony Group in 1998, Steve provided financial counseling and tax services for high-net-worth individuals with The Ayco Company, and the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

"I am excited to work with the talented financial counselling and investment management teams across our offices to extend our services to even more high-net-worth individuals and their families. I have seen the success of our model in our existing locations and look forward to expanding further as we execute on our disciplined growth strategy," says Stelljes.

Originally founded in Boston in 1986, The Colony Group has grown to become a leading Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm in the industry, with offices in Massachusetts, New York, and Florida.
