First Asset Investment Management launches Core ETFs

First Asset Investment Management has lunched the First Asset Core Balanced ETF (TSX:CBB), a low-cost balanced ETF portfolio solution.

Investing in primarily Canadian issuers, First Asset Core Balanced ETF’s investment objective is to seek to provide holders of its units with a balance between long term capital appreciation and consistent income while diversifying risk by investing the portfolio to gain exposure to equity and fixed income securities.

“We are focused on delivering smart, low-cost investment solutions to meet the real world needs of Canadians.” says Barry Gordon, President and CEO, First Asset Investment Management Inc.
“Our Core Balanced ETF allows advisors to deliver a cost effective, transparent, smart, single ticket investment solution to their clients.  CBB is the third of our Core ETFs, which also include CED, our Canadian Equity Core ETF, and CES, our US Equity Core ETF. Incorporating our factor based equity methodologies, our Core ETFs can act as the cornerstone of any portfolio.”

The First Asset Core Balanced ETF will use a multi-factor portfolio optimisation strategy to allocate the ETF’s assets to gain exposure to equity securities and fixed income securities of primarily Canadian issuers, in order to create a well-diversified portfolio with strong fundamentals, consistent levels of income and an attractive historical risk-adjusted rate of return.

First Asset Core Balanced ETF is an expansion of the recently launched suite of Core Equity portfolio solutions.  First Asset Core portfolio solutions leverage the multi-factor methodologies used in the successful First Asset ETF lineup to achieve capital appreciation, risk mitigation and income generation in a single ticket solution.
