Invesco PowerShares has appointed Jean-Baptiste Lavollay to the PowerShares Business Development – France team.

Lavollay was formerly product manager at Invesco PowerShares, and this new appointment is part of the business’s continued programme to expand its team within key markets in Europe.

In this newly created role Lavollay will be responsible for driving business development in France, a key market for Invesco PowerShares, the fourth largest ETF provider globally1 with the longest track record in delivering Smart Beta products.

Prior to joining Invesco PowerShares in 2011, Lavollay worked as a product specialist at BNP Paribas Asset Management in Paris, focusing on index funds and ETFs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance as well as an executive Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Paris University (Panthéon-Assas).

Bryon Lake, Head of Invesco PowerShares – EMEA, says: “Jean-Baptiste is a great asset to our business. He delivered exceptional results in his previous role as product manager, and his appointment is part of our plan to boost our team in Europe as the ETF market in the region grows rapidly. It is important for us to work closely with new and existing investors to provide education around our smart beta range, and Jean-Baptiste’s extensive product knowledge will be a strong resource for ETF investors in France.”
