WisdomTree has launched an exchange traded fund platform in Switzerland with six UCITS Smart Beta ETFs, denominated in Swiss francs on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The ETFs offer exposure to large and small cap European, US and Emerging Market equities.
The initiative is part of a move across Europe for the US headquartered firm who launched in the UK on the London Stock exchange in October 2014, Borsa Italiana in January 2015 and the Deutsche Börse Xetra platform in February 2015.
The new Swiss ETFs are Irish-domiciled and physically replicated, with the underlying shares being held with State Street.
Hector McNeil, Co-CEO of WisdomTree Europe said that the firm has ambitions to be the leading provider of smart beta ETFs to Swiss investors.
WisdomTree launched its first ETFs in the United States in June of 2006 and in Europe in October of 2014. A smart beta innovator, WisdomTree pioneered the concepts of fundamentally weighted indexes and active ETFs. Globally, WisdomTree is currently the eighth largest provider of ETFs and ETPs.
The six new SIX Swiss Exchange ETFs are:
WisdomTree Emerging Markets Equity Income UCITS ETF
WisdomTree Emerging Markets SmallCap Dividend UCITS ETF
WisdomTree Europe Equity Income UCITS ETF
