Value Line provides research support for three Direxion Strategic Beta ETFs

RELATED TOPICS

Value Line is to provide Direxion Investments with research support for three Strategic Beta ETFs based on Value Line indexes.

The ETFs are:

Direxion Value Line Small- and Mid-Cap High Dividend ETF (VLSM)
Direxion Value Line Mid- and Large-Cap High Dividend ETF (VLML)
Direxion Value Line Conservative Equity ETF (VLLV)

The ETFs will apply Value Line’s well-known Timeliness, Performance, and Safety Ranks to identify high-dividend–yielding stocks in the Small-, Mid-, and Large-Cap Equity categories, and lower-volatility stocks for a Conservative Equity Strategy. Value Line compiles and manages the indexes, which start with select criteria for each category. The indexes’ holdings are determined once the appropriate Value Line proprietary Price Stability, Timeliness, Financial Strength and/or Safety Rankings are applied. All companies in the indexes are equally weighted for added diversification and re-balanced annually.

“Direxion’s lineup of ETFs shows that investors need thoughtful ways to approach investing,” says Howard Brecher, CEO of Value Line. “We look forward to working with Direxion to offer strategies that provide exposure to the dividend and conservative stocks that our research indicates are among the best in their categories.”

Dividend-yielding and defensive stocks have been a mainstay for long-term investors. Value Line has offered data and research for over eight decades to help individual stock investors build portfolios with improved risk-adjusted returns. Combined with Direxion’s robust ETF platform and product development expertise the new ETFs allow easy access to strategies from which investors may benefit.

“Value Line has been a top provider of independent investment-related research for 85 years. Generations of investors have depended on their high-quality research to make investment decisions. We’re glad to team up with them to offer investors a transparent, liquid and cost-effective way to benefit from their time-tested research,” said Brian Jacobs, President of Direxion Investments. “These three ETFs give conservative and income-oriented investors the ability to utilise Value Line’s popular ranking systems to potentially improve their risk-adjusted returns.”
