First Trust reschedules investment objective changes for seven AlphaDEX ETFs

First Trust Advisors is rescheduling previously announced investment objective changes for seven AlphaDex exchange traded funds (ETFs).

The original date when each of the funds was due to begin seeking investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the Fund’s fees and expenses) of a NASDAQ AlphaDEX Equity Index was 14 April, 2015. These changes though will now occur no later than 8 October, 2015. 

Until the change in investment objective, each fund will continue to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of its current S&P Dow Jones Indices index. In addition, each Fund will continue to list on the NYSE Arca Inc under its current ticker symbol.
 
The funds in question and their curren indexes are as follows: 

First Trust Developed Markets ex-US Small Cap AlphaDEX Fund (FDTS) – Defined Developed Markets Small Cap Index
First Trust Emerging Markets Small Cap AlphaDEX Fund (FEMS) – Defined Emerging Markets Small Cap Index
First Trust Emerging Markets AlphaDEX Fund (FEM) – Defined Emerging Markets Index
First Trust Europe AlphaDEX Fund (FEP) – Defined Europe Index
First Trust Asia Pacific Ex-Japan AlphaDEX Fund (FPA) – Defined Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Index
First Trust Latin America AlphaDEX Fund (FLN) – Defined Latin America Index
First Trust Developed Markets Ex-US AlphaDEX Fund (FDT) – Defined Developed Markets Ex-US Index
