Simon Park Joins TCW as MD in US fixed income group

The TCW Group has appointed Simon Park as a managing director in its US Fixed Income Group. In this role, he is responsible for trading high-yield and cross-over securities. 

Park is based in Los Angeles and reports to Jerry Cudzil, Head of US Credit Trading.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Simon to the team,” says Cudzil. “His extensive experience in the corporate bond markets will be valuable as we move into a more volatile investment environment for credit.”

Park has more than 20 years of experience in bond trading. Prior to joining TCW, he was a portfolio manager and fund risk manager for JAE Credit Management where he focused on US corporate securities and derivatives. Before joining JAE Credit Management, Park was a managing director and portfolio manager in relative value corporate credit for the internal investment unit at UBS and its externally run hedge fund, Dillon Read Capital Management. Park began his career at Goldman Sachs where he became a managing director focused on cross-over credit on the corporate bond trading desk. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College,
