Copeland Capital Management has appointed Steven J Adams as the firm’s Chief Operating and Financial Officer.

Adams comes to Copeland from AMG Funds, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career he was a Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers where he served clients in the financial services industry and then was a Principal at Rorer Asset Management. Steve joins Copeland as a Principal and will serve on the firm's Management Committee. Adams is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the AICPA Technology Division.

"We are thrilled to add someone of Steve's caliber and level of experience to the team. We believe this demonstrates our commitment to ensuring we have both the personnel resources and operational infrastructure in place to meet the needs of our growing institutional client base," says Copeland's Chairman, Edward C Rorer. "Steve will be instrumental in helping to manage the next stage of our firm's growth."

Adams' addition comes at a time of significant growth for Copeland Capital. The firm has grown from USD100 million in AUM in 2011 to almost USD2 billion in AUM today. "We manage money for some of the largest financial institutions, corporate pension plans, and foundations in the country," noted Eric Brown, Copeland's founder and CEO. "We look forward to leveraging Steve's expertise to ensure that we are employing best practices across every facet of our operational platform so that we can continue to grow," Brown says.

"I am happy to join such a strong team of like-minded people who share the same passion for building a best in class money management firm as I do," says Adams. "I look forward to the opportunity to contribute and build on the foundation of success that has already been put in place."
