Old Mutual Wealth appoints two Business Development Directors

RELATED TOPICS

Old Mutual Wealth has announced two senior appointments as part of its ambitious growth strategy.  Russell Bignall and Sean Mcguire have both been appointed to the newly-created roles of Business Development Director.

The two new roles will further enhance the support and business consultancy services Old Mutual Wealth provides to financial advisers, helping them grow their businesses and capitalise on the new opportunities open to them following the introduction of the new pension freedoms.  This has created significant demand for financial advice and well-constructed investment strategies as people take advantage of the increased flexibilities.

Both Russell and Sean have extensive experience in platforms, strategic relationships and investment management. Russell was most recently Strategic Director at BNY Mellon having spent over 10 years with Standard Life and Sean joins directly from Standard Life where he was Investment Sales Director in the Middle East. He has held a number of senior positions with Standard Life in the UK over the past 20 years.

Scott Goodsir, Managing Director of UK Distribution, Old Mutual Wealth, says: “Market conditions are fantastic for financial advisers and we are expanding our team to help them capitalise on the growth opportunities.  We offer advisers all the elements they need to support their clients whether that be the platform, great products or tailored investment solutions.  Russell and Sean will help ensure advisers are able to get the most out of those solutions in order to service their clients and grow their businesses.”
