InvestYourWay uses crowd funding to fuel growth

InvestYourWay, the bespoke online fund building platform, has listed on Crowdcube to fuel the next phase of expansion.

Launched in Q4 2014, in partnership with IG, a FTSE 250 company, InvestYourWay has been live now for just over six months building bespoke online investment portfolios for clients across Europe.  With average returns on client accounts already exceeding 7 per cent since launch, the company has consistently high performance records on returns.
Now accepting clients in over 30 countries, InvestYourWay is a completely new way to invest your money in the market, giving clients real-time control over their investments. In under a minute clients can build a bespoke, professional grade fund tailored to meet their needs.  Be it a low risk fund investing in Europe and gold, to a high risk fund investing in Asia and the UK tech sector, InvestYourWay funds are constructed and managed in real-time with each client receiving a product completely tailored to meet their needs.
Unlike traditional fund managers who are restricted by the funds they have on offer, InvestYourWay are able to tailor each offering to the needs of the individual.  As each solution is custom to the client, it also means that they can take advantage of same day withdrawals, or even edit their fund in real-time to adapt it as their requirements change.  InvestYourWay have built the business on the principle of the right for a client to choose which fund they want, and where in the world they want to invest. Normally the preserve of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), the client now has choice and control with as little as GBP2,500.
InvestYourWay goes where no other fund manager dares by providing a “Trader’s View” – a real time insight into the positions underlying each client’s fund.  Clients can also make use of the innovative “Rewinder” tool allowing them to construct a bespoke fund and go back through time to see how it would have reacted to different market events.
Michael Newell, CEO of InvestYourWay, says: “The level of transparency we offer goes beyond anything seen in the market today.  We show you every investment, the time at which it was made and the price that was paid.  Too many fund management costs get hidden behind the scenes, that is why we make our broker IG part of our solution, so clients can see everything we do as a result of the choices they make.”
In a world dominated by ETF trading, InvestYourWay have once again blazed their own trail.  Working with IG they created a unique 100 per cent margin (no leverage) CFD or Contract For Difference.  CFDs are widely used by professional traders and do not require you to lock your capital up in the underlying markets; instead, money sits in an instant access brokerage account with the broker crediting or debiting you as the underlying markets move.
By removing the leverage normally associated with CFDs, InvestYourWay were able to drastically reduce costs meaning there is just a single 1% (incl. VAT) per annum management fee for the service.  Typical services based around ETFs advertise low-level headline rates but clients need to factor in the ETF management fees and tracking error associated with the underlying investments. Not only do CFDs work out cheaper, they also have the benefit that all client money sits in fully segregated client accounts, not locked up in the underlying markets. This means when a client wants to access their money they can do so the same day.
Michael Newell, CEO of InvestYourWay, says: "From day one we have trodden our own path. From offering completely bespoke funds to re-inventing CFDs. Crowd funding was therefore a natural fit for the way we run our business and we are delighted to be working with Crowdcube to fuel our next phase of growth. It’s exciting, as an investment management firm, to be able to allow our clients and the market as a whole the opportunity to invest in us as a business.”
