Calamos Investments’ Calamos International Growth Fund has passed its tenth anniversary with its 10-year annualised return currently ranking it a No1 in its peer group, the Morningstar Foreign Large Growth Category.
The strategy, available to US retail and institutional investors, invests in non-US growth companies, focusing on companies demonstrating what the firm believes to be key growth characteristics, including increasing profit margins, high returns on invested capital, strong revenue growth and greater access to capital. In focusing on companies believed to possess key growth characteristics, the fund maintains a more growth-focused investing style than that of its peer group.
"In launching our international growth strategy, we sought to provide investors access to growth opportunities outside the US using our time tested approach to growth investing. The fund's 10-year track record and top-tier ranking is a testament to our focus on long-term investing and adding value over full market cycles," says John P Calamos, Sr., Chief Executive Officer and Global Co-Chief Investment Officer.
"The team's investment process has remained consistent during the International Growth Fund's 10-year tenure, combining our top-down insights with bottom-up fundamental research, and an approach to investing that focuses on understanding a company's entire capital structure. The International Growth Fund's strong 10-year performance speaks to our team's ability to navigate many different market environments," says Nick Niziolek, SVP, Senior Co-Portfolio Manager.
