Wells Fargo Funds Management, advisor to the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds, has appointed Ron Cohen (pictured) as head of Sales for the Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channels.
Most recently, Cohen was executive director of J.P. Morgan’s national accounts team for defined contribution investment services.
“Ron shares our commitment to providing true value to our clients and helping investors meet their financial and retirement goals,” says Tim Curtin, head of National Intermediary Sales for Wells Fargo Funds Management. “Along with that commitment, Ron’s sales leadership skills and deep expertise in the DCIO space will help us make even deeper inroads into two of the industry’s fastest-growing market segments.”
Cohen has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to his work at JP Morgan, he ran the bundled retirement business at DWS Investments, a part of Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, and built out the DCIO practice at DB Advisors.
“Wells Fargo already has the pieces in place to provide financial advisors and plan sponsors with the investments and practice-management resources they need to best serve their clients,” says Cohen. “In addition, our sales force’s deep knowledge of the industries we serve will continue to set us apart from the competition and cement our success.”
