Kornitzer Capital Management (KCM), investment advisor to the Buffalo Funds, has appointed Doug Cartwright, CFA as co-manager of the Buffalo Emerging Opportunities Fund alongside Craig Richard.
The move follows the resignation of John Bichelmeyer from the firm. “Doug’s success and hard work as a research analyst has earned the confidence and respect of the other portfolio managers as this promotion illustrates. We are confident he will excel with the added responsibility as a co-manager of the Fund,” says Clay Brethour, President of the Buffalo Funds.
Doug Cartwright, CFA joined KCM in May of 2013 as an equity research analyst covering media and entertainment companies, as well as, consumer-related sectors of the marketplace. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cartwright worked as an equity and fixed income research analyst for Kellogg Asset Management in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Other industry experience includes time with Waddell & Reed Investment Management Company in Overland Park, Kansas, dating back to 2006. Cartwright has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University and a MBA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison.
