Owen Scarrott is to join Schroders Global and International Equities Team in early July 2015, to take up the newly created role of Materials and Energy Global Sector Specialist.
Scarrott will assume responsibility for materials and energy harnessing broad experience across resources and diversified sectors as an equity analyst. Prior to joining Schroders Scarrott was most recently an equity analyst at Morgan Stanley, he has also held similar roles at Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs.
Scarrott will work alongside the team’s established group of eight Global Sector Specialists who provide global sector perspectives and stock recommendations to the team’s portfolio managers. He will be based in London and report to Simon Webber, who is responsible for the Global Sector Specialist team.

By combining coverage of the two commodities cyclical sectors of materials and energy, the team will have better insight into where the most attractive anticipated growth opportunities exist across this universe from both a company and commodity perspective.
