Northern Trust strengthens wealth advisory services team in New York

Paul S Lee has joined the Northern Trust’s Wealth Advisory Services group, which specialises in serving high-net-worth clients with investment management, trust and banking solutions.

Based in New York, Lee is a senior vice president and senior regional wealth advisor, reporting to John Hoffman, head of Northern Trust Wealth Management’s greater New York region. Lee brings more than 20 years of tax, estate planning and investment experience in both the United States and United Kingdom.

“We’re pleased to have such a seasoned professional join our growing Wealth Management team in our Manhattan office,” says Hoffman. “Paul’s expertise, both from working with high-net-worth clients and extensive proprietary research in investment strategy and planning, will greatly benefit our wealth advisory capabilities and the clients we serve.”

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Lee served as National Managing Director, Wealth Management Group & Global Family Office Group, in the New York Office of AB Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where he provided customised wealth planning solutions for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Earlier in his tenure at Bernstein, he was responsible for opening the firm’s first non-U.S. private client office based in London. As Managing Director, London Private Client Sales Group, he established the investment infrastructure for all of Bernstein’s non-US private clients.

Lee began his career practicing law at various firms, eventually becoming a Partner in the Tax, Estate Planning and Wealth Protection Group at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and Georgia and is a member of the American Bar Association in both states. Lee received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Chemistry and English from Cornell University and both his JD and LLM with honours from Emory University School of Law.
